I just got banned for 30 days on Facebook, for sharing a Facebook memory

No photo description available.

How does this work? The above image came up in a notification for Facebook memories, because somebody else shared it 3 years ago.

So… I shared it again. Should’ve known something was wrong when it showed as private so I had to copy and repost the image… It immediately gave me a 30 day ban. If it’s so baaaaad, why show it to me in a notification, for fuck’s sake?

Edit… Well, this is fucking great. I contested the decision, and it was reversed. That is, my post is back on Facebook, but they didn’t lift the ban.

    1. Normally I’d disagree, but just yesterday I outed someone for sharing stolen images of a mutual friend in creepy facebook stories and on his own wall. There are some awful people on the platform, and amazingly, their stuff does not get banned.

She can report his sharing of her pics as much as she wants – he will get away with it.
Likewise I have a colleague whose deceased father’s account was stolen by a scammer and she has reported it several times, to no avail.
